I just tried the unplug method, and nothing changed. I really need to get a conzult dongle. I messed with it a little more today, the sound seems to be coming from the back of the motor, and sounds very "near" I know the aluminum plenums can really transmit noise, but this does not sound like something buried deep in the motor. I'm also looking into diagnosing a stuck lifter. I recently changed my oil (~2 weeks ago) replaced with Mobil1 0-30 synthetic. Possibly something been washed loose by the fresh oil and clogged a lifter?
